  • Dr. Obadah Ghannam

    CLINICAL DIRECTOR - MBBS, BSc, DRCOG, LLM, DPH, PG Cert (MedEd), FHEA

    Dr. Obadah Ghannam graduated from Imperial College London, and is a practicing NHS GP who specialises in minor surgery and newborn male circumcisions. He has carried out circumcisions across the country and is now settled in Birmingham where he is the Clinical Director of the Midlands Circumcision Clinic. Dr. Ghannam previously received training in paediatric surgery, paediatric urology, general surgery, and colorectal surgery in specialist secondary and tertiary surgical centres across the Midlands. Since moving into primary care, he has specialised in minor surgery and circumcisions and he operates within the Midlands Circumcision Clinic on a regular basis. GMC number: 7419451

  • Mrs. Huda Hakim

    CLINIC MANAGER

    Huda graduated from the University of Greenwich studying International Business with Law, where she gained a First Class Honours Degree. Following this, she worked with an international marketing agency and was responsible for maintaining safe levels of service within the entire organisation. She monitored the flow of services to over a million customers located in both the UK and Europe. Over the years, she has worked with major international brands like Johnson & Johnson, Vodafone and Beiersdorf. Her role at the clinic is to support the delivery of excellent care and she will support you throughout your entire journey. Huda is fluent in both English and Arabic.

  • Mr. Omar Dawood

    SENIOR SURGICAL ASSISTANT

    Omar is a fully qualified Physician’s Associate and has gained wide-ranging clinical experiences in both NHS hospitals and GP surgeries. Prior to his role with the Midlands Circumcision Clinic, Omar worked at a number of Birmingham’s major hospital’s including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Royal Orthopaedics Hospital, Birmingham Women’s Hospital, and Birmingham Heartland’s Hospital. His experience includes training in orthopaedics surgery, general medicine, paediatrics and acute medicine. He has also received training and certification in assisting circumcision operations and regularly assists at the Midlands Circumcision Clinic. Omar is fluent in English and Urdu.

  • Mrs. Saleeqah Shah

    PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

    Saleeqah is currently in the process of graduating from the University of Worcester studying Law (LLB Hons) with the hope of qualifying as a family lawyer. Over the years, she has developed a range of legal and customer service experience in sectors including commercial, crime, and family. This experience has helped the clinic improve its approach to the regulatory framework surrounding minor operations. Her role at the clinic is to be your first point of contact upon your arrival, ensuring you are personally and administratively guided throughout the day of your appointment both pre and post-procedure with ease. Saleeqah is fluent in both English and Urdu.

  • Yasar Arafat

    ADVANCED CIRCUMCISION PRACTITIONER

    Yasar Arafat is an advanced circumcision practitioner who has performed over 5,000 successful circumcision operations over the span of a decade. Committed to excellence, he leads our aftercare team, and he is keen to make sure you get a personalised aftercare experience. He is ready to answer any question you may have, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to his role at the clinic, Yasar has also worked for 22 years in a busy A&E department, where he holds the post of an NHS Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP). He routinely conducts minor operations on patients of all ages. This multifaceted experience uniquely positions him to deliver comprehensive care for your son's well-being. Yasar is proficient in both English and Punjabi.

  • Dr Farzana Maqbool

    CARE CO-ORDINATOR AND A SURGICAL ASSISTANT

    Dr. Farzana Maqbool graduated from Khyber Medical University Peshawar, Pakistan in 1999. She worked in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine and Paediatrics, before then specialising in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She has done the FCPS-1 from the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan and has performed numerous Minor Surgical Gynaecological procedures including assisting in Caesarean Sections for women at the time of birth. She has completed her MRCOG-1 and DRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynecologists UK. At the Clinic she works as both a care co-ordinator and a surgical assistant, and will talk you through the operation, and answer any questions you may have. Farzana is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto.
